The International Association of Credit Portfolio Managers is a leading global industry association dedicated to advancing the practice of credit exposure management. Our members include over 150 financial institutions worldwide, such as banks, insurers, and investors managing corporate loans, bonds, and other credit-sensitive financial instruments. We engage with regulators, host conferences and meetings, conduct industry research, and collaborate on issues related to portfolio risk measurement and management.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have experience with data analysis and visualization to enhance IACPM’s research function. Experience in the banking sector and/or data process automation is a plus.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful research in support of IACPM’s global and diverse membership. As part of our fully remote team, you will work independently while collaborating with industry experts and leveraging advanced analytical tools to deliver insights in a field that values innovation, forward-thinking, and knowledge sharing. The position offers flexibility to work remotely from the U.S. or Europe and requires occasional international travel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support IACPM’s comprehensive research and benchmarking studies on credit portfolio management and related fields.
• Prepare detailed research reports and presentations by taking ownership of ongoing projects and supporting the Senior Director, Research in her role.
• Identify and implement advanced analytical tools to enhance research efficiency.
• Collaborate with other team members to assist with ongoing initiatives.
Qualifications / Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; particularly an advanced level of expertise with Excel and PowerPoint; experience with tools such as SurveyMonkey, Power BI, Tableau, VBA, or Access is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on automation and quantitative analysis.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive and curious mindset, with a passion for data and research, and the ability to embrace emerging issues in the ever-developing financial industry.
• Adapt to evolving team needs by taking initiative to support colleagues and projects outside of traditional role boundaries.
• Must reside and be authorized to work in the U.S. or EU/UK without sponsorship.
• Must have a dedicated workspace at home.
